Friendship Baptist Church is a community of disciples committed to engaging God in worship, one another in fellowship, and the world in discipleship for Jesus' sake.

On this site you will find information about who we are, what we believe, and how we fulfill the mission God has given us. If we can provide you with additional information, please contact us.

We look forward to you joining us in worship soon!

  • Pastoral Care Update

On Thursday, March 19, 2020, Governor Ivey issued an order prohibiting all hospital visitation until further notice. The only exception to this is certain end-of-life situations. Consequently, Pastor Nicholas will not be able to make visits to members or their families should they be hospitalized at this time. However, he still desires to provide pastoral care to you even if it is from a distance. If you or your loved one is hospitalized, having surgery, or is sick, please let him know so that he can pray for you, request prayer from the church family, and be a resource to you through illness and recovery.

  • On Campus Services Canceled Through Saturday, April 4

In an effort to protect the health of our congregation, promote the well-being of our community, and submit to the civil authorities over us, all on campus and in person activities are canceled effective March 18, 2020, through Saturday, April 4, 2020. We anticipate the returning to worshiping together on campus on Sunday, April 5. For more details, please check out our COVID-19 updates.

  • Easter

We invite you to join us for our celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. We will begin our celebration with a joint Sunrise Service at Evergreen UMC (2658 Evergreen Road, Springville, AL 35146) at 6:00 AM. Then we will meet back at Friendship for Sunday School at 9:45 and Morning Worship at 10:45. There will be no evening activities on this day.

  • Annie Armstrong Easter Offering

The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering benefits the work of the North American Mission Board. Our church's goal is $3,000. Due to the impact of COVID-19 on our schedule, we will be making an emphasis of this offering later in the year.

Our theme for Vacation Bible School this year is "Kickin' It Old School". VBS will begin Sunday, May 31, and end on Thursday, June 4. We will meet from 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM each night.
